Funeral services for William Robert Guess, 85, of West Monroe, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Christian Life Church in Monroe.  Bishop Danny Chase and Pastor Chase Hoyt will be officiating.  Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes, West Monroe.  A visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.

Robert was born on September 11, 1939 in Monroe and passed away on April 28, 2025 at his residence surrounded by family.  He retired with 45 years as a mechanic at Graphic Packaging.  Robert was a faithful member of Christian Life Church where he enjoyed fellowship with others.  He was passionate about telling others about Jesus and was a mighty prayer warrior. Robert loved the outdoors and mastered deer hunting. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Guess; mother, Juanita Guess; sister, Frances Baker; and brother, Charles Guess.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Sherilyn  Lincecum Guess; son, Ray Guess and wife Nancy; daughter, Lisa Guess-Yates and husband Jeff; grandchildren, Sarah Warbington, Lauren Jordan, Victoria Guess and Justin Stokes; great-grandchildren, Jaycee Cummings, Adalyn Guess and Ella Jordan; sisters, Geneva Andrews and Patsy Ellerbe; along with other extended family and friends.

Robert loved his family and his family loved him.  He will be greatly missed.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joey Guess, Jerrell Dycus, Jeff Yates, Timothy Guess, Tanner Jordan and Justin Stokes.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ross Wilhite and Royce Yates.
