Funeral services for Rita Richardson Price, 66, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 18, 2015 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Dr. Mark Fenn officiating. Interment will follow at Colvin Memorial Cemetery, Unionville, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.Rita was born January 3, 1949 in Monroe, LA and passed away April 15, 2015 in West Monroe. She was a retired teacher with a Master's Degree + 30. She was a member of First West Church, ADK Teacher Sorority, multiple card and Pokeno groups and Septieme Society. Rita was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Rex Price; father Luther Richardson, brother Ronald Richardson; granddaughter Ashton Price.Rita is survived by her mother, Irene Taylor Richardson; sons, Ryan Brooks, Rhett Price and Robby Price and wife Ashley; grandchildren, Shaun McCallum and Mason McCallum.Pallbearers will be Lynn Traylor, Charles Aswell, Clif Richardson, Josh Richardson, Vance Smith, Danny Duke, Art Hodge and Dea Parker.Visitation will be held Friday, April 17, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

I did not know Rita but for a few years but evertime I was around her she was a deliteful lady. She loved to laugh, have fun, and I know she loved her family and friends very much. I would see her at church with a friendly smile on her face. I know you loved her and will miss her very much but her memory will live on and the Lord will give you peace each day.

Dear Price and Richardson Families,I met Rita a few years ago when she became a member of Septieme Society. We also had in common that we were fellow teachers: Rita at George Welch and I was at WMHS. She always had a smile, a happy laugh, and an appropriate comment on whatever subject was being discussed. She had a very good outlook on life and I respected her for that and for her professional demeanor as a teacher. I am praying that the Lord will give you all His peace in your hearts.
