Graveside services for Ricki Shovan will be at 2:30 P.M., Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Alabama Cemetery, Arcadia, Louisiana, under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes. Brother Jim Davis will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. the day of service at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, in Ruston, Louisiana.
Ricki was born March 24, 1944, in Ruston, Louisiana and passed away November 21, 2024, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was a member of Ruston Church of Christ and was a secretary for Bienville Parish and other school systems. Ricki is preceded in death by her parents, Slayton and Elaine Reese Rich; and nephew, Slayton Rich.
Ricki is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Jerl Walter Shovan; son, Donovan Ray Shovan; grandchildren, Donovan Alexander Shovan, Hannah Claire Shovan, Ronald James “Jimmy” Mack and wife Jenny Spring Mack; great-grandchildren, Harper Layne Mack, Logan Noelle Mack, Evan Mack; sister, Sandra Beard, brother, Sammy Rich and wife Paula; niece, Christy Stewart and husband Ray, and their children, Madison, and Andrew, niece, Julie Beard; along with extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Donovan Shovan, Sammy Rich, Jerry Roark, Tim Thrailkill, Marc Pearce, Andy Stevenson.
