Graveside services for Mr. Richard ¨Arnold Walker will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 31, 2006 at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Eudora, Arkansas under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Officiating will be Chaplain Danny Thomas and Mike Tryon. Richard Arnold Walker was born October 4, 1923 in Pioneer, LA to the union of Ed Walker and Lottie Arnold Walker, and died after a long and courageous battle with Lewy Body Disease on December 28, 2006. The youngest of four, he was preceded in death by his father, his beloved mother, Lottie ¨Woo-Woo Walker, two sisters, Lucille Walker Tillotson and Rea Walker Posey and his brother, Thomas Walker. Arnold is survived by the love of his life and wife of 57 years, Inita Cook Walker; son, Johnny Walker and wife Barbara; daughter, Nita Gay and husband Greg Hewson; grandsons, Zachary Walker and Jacob Hewson, and nieces and nephews. Arnold was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He was a blessing to his family and a good friend to many who will be greatly missed. Mr. Walker served in the 3rd Marine Division, 9th regiment during World War II. His tour of duty included New Zealand, Guadalcanal, Guam, and Iwo Jima. He spent 30 days fighting on Iwo Jima. He was a proud Marine and loved his country. He retired from Texas Gas Transmission after 35 years of service. The Walker family thanks the War Veterans Home Hall 1A, St. Francis North 5th floor, Dr. Charles Morgan and Dr. Kutniker. Visitation will be 4-6PM, Saturday, December 30, 2006 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Honorary pallbearers will be his Marine Comrades and Texas Gas Buddies.
