Funeral services for Richard Ricky Hale will be held Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Rev. Danny Hale and Rev. Bodie Spicer officiating. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens, West Monroe under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.Richard Rudell Hale, lovingly known by family and friends as Ricky entered the arms of our Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the age of 67. Ricky was a resident for the past 16 years of Caney Lake Community in Chatham, Louisiana. Ricky graduated from Behrman High School in New Orleans, LA. He served in the United Sates Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. Ricky worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 37 years as a locomotive engineer. His hobbies were Tennessee walking horses, restoring vintage vehicles, avid fisherman, and giving freely of his time helping friends, family and neighbors.Ricky was born June 20, 1947 in Atlanta, LA. On February 4, 1967, Ricky married his high school sweetheart, Patricia (Pat) Roussel Hale and was married over 48 years.Ricky is survived by three children: Scotty Hale and wife Lori, Todd Hale, Kimberly Hale Stewart and husband Ronny. Ricky was known as Granddad to eight grandchildren, who were the pride of his life; Benjamin Hale, Daion Hale, Garrett Hale, Molly Edwards, Allison Edwards, Cory Edwards, Brylie Stewart, and Hayden Stewart. Richard parents were Edward Russell Hale (deceased) and Hazel McManus Hale. Ricky had two brothers, Larry Hale (deceased) and Daniel Hale; two sisters Arlene Hale Drouant, and Becky Hale Labat. He was also loved by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and his sweet little dog Abby.Pallbearers will be Bobby Hale, Rusty Hale, Jeremy Roussel, Rusty Roussel, Jason Labat, Kyle Puyau, Christopher Puyau, Daniel Lee Hale, Travis Hale and Brett Drouant.Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 25, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe and Thursday, March 26, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the funeral services.Flowers may be sent to Kilpatrick Funeral Home or a donation can be made to his choice of charity, St. Jude Children Hospital, in honor of his surviving son.
