My condolences to the family relative to Rolly's passing. He was certainly an example of a life well lived. He was my Shepherd during my wife Lee Sutton's illness and it meant a lot to me to have such a loving person at a great time of need. Always had a lot of respect for him. God Bless.

Praying for your family at this difficult time. The very best memories of growing up at Trinity UMC were the children's sermons by Rolly Walker. Each week with his gentle voice, humorous sports metaphors, and occasional tears of sincere reflection, he would gracefully lay the foundation stones for our faith in Christ. What a special man and angel. Thank you Rolly!

I have known and recognized Rolly’s name for many many years but it was only about nine years ago that he actually came into my life in person. What an impact he made on me in those short nine years. I know that God puts people in your life at various stages because you so desperately need them and Rolly was that for me. My husband and I will always treasure our special friendship with Rolly and Johnnie Lou and will miss him so very much. “So how then shall we live?” This was the question he would leave us with each week at the end of Sunday School. Thank you, Rolly.

Rolly was one of the finest men I have ever known. I know I will never forget his friendship and some of the great conversations we have had. We both loved the “old Dallas Cowboys” from back in the days of Tom Landry. I am thankful and blessed to have known and loved him. He was one of a kind!
