Funeral services for Rev. Dennis Evans, 79, of Columbia, LA will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, April 30, 2021 at Christian Life Church with Pastor Danny Chance officiating. Comments will be made by Rev. John Jones, Joanne Lowery, Evan Puckett, Ron Bush, and John Guthrie. Private burial services will follow at International House of Prayer Church Cemetery formally Woolen Lake Church of God Cemetery, Hebert, Louisiana under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes ~ West Monroe. Family will receive guests from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M., Friday, April 30, 2021 at the church.
Rev. Evans was born on April 10, 1942 in Monroe, Louisiana and went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 27, 2021. He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Evans Noland; sister, Patsy Jones; grandparents, Lonnie and Bertha Evans and a daughter, Jutina. Dennis retired from Amoco Oil as a pumper and operator. He was a member of Christian Life Church in Monroe and will be most remembered as a caring friend, coach and minister.
Rev. Evans is survived by wife, Judy Parker Evans; daughter, Amy Evans Puckett and husband Rusty; grandchildren, Ana Giddens Fleming, Nolan Giddens, Jr., Dennis Evan Corbett Puckett and Abby Denise Puckett;great-grandchildren Sawyer Fleming and Emilea Fleming; sisters Norva Lee Jackson, Donna Maxwell and Debbie Foster; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Ron Bush, Jay Bush, Randall Lowery (nephew), Rev. John Jones (nephew) Jerry Lowery, Timmy Carter (nephew) Gene Cupit, Glenn Cupit, John Guthrie, Donald Oliveaux and Joey Guess.
Honorary pallbearers will be Carey Etier (uncle), Donnie McManus, Rev. Bennie Jones and Jimmy Dale Sims.
