Funeral services for Rev. Calvin Franklin Pearce will be held at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 18, 2021 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home ~ West Monroe. Rev. Huey Diffey will officiate and interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in West Monroe. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M until 3:00 P.M., before the service.

Rev. Pearce was born on February 3, 1939 in Alta Loma, Texas and passed away peacefully at home on August 13, 2021. He started his career as a pastor at Mystic Baptist Church in Fields, Louisiana, and over 40 years of ministering and serving all over, he finished his career at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Eros, Louisiana. Rev. Pearce was most proud of his missionary work serving others in the Philippines, Ukraine and Africa. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Pearce.

Rev. Pearce is survived by his wife, Carolyn Gonzales Pearce; three children, Pam Haney and husband Steve, Terry Shrader, and J.R. Pearce; sister, Janie Phillips and husband Richard; three step-children, Karen Lopez and husband John, Melissa Craig, and Theresa Winslow; nine grandchildren, Chris Carpenter, Allen Carpenter, David Haney, Kaleb Pearce, Bradly Shrader, Sarah Shrader, Brendan Craig, Hollyanne Craig and Levi Craig; four great-grandchildren and many other cherished family and friends.

The family requests memorials are made to the International Mission Board (imb.org/give) 3806 Monument Avenue, Richmond, Virginia 23230 for other missionaries to continue to share the gospel.
