Funeral services for Raymond Barnett, 82, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 20, 2015 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Rev. Marshall Douglas will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Raymond was born March 31, 1933 in El Dorado, Arkansas and passed away November 17, 2015 in West Monroe. He was preceded in death by his father, William Ross Barnett mother, Chloe Barnett, wife, Mary Nell Barnett, son, William Vaughn Barnett, Sr. and daughter-in-law, Diane Barnett. He was retired from the Army Corp of Engineers as an operator and was a member of Ouachita Baptist Church. Raymond loved fish whether it was eating or catching them. He will always be remembered as a hard worker, and loved spending time with his familyRaymond is survived by his daughter, Debbie Black and husband David; four grandchildren; William Vaughn Barnett, Jr., Ryan Barnett, Heather Black, Brittany Keaster and husband Derek; and great-grandchilden, Serenity Keaster, Reagan and Riley Barnett.Pallbearers will be William Barnett, Ryan Barnett, Derek Keaster, Luther Sanson, David Black, and Roger Lee.A special thanks to Cornerstone Hospital, Alpha Home Health and St. Francis Wound Care.Memorials may be made to McClendon Baptist Church Building Fund.Visitation will be held Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Billy and Ryan, I am so sorry for yours and your familys loss!! I remember when I met him, when I moved to El Dorado. He was so nice to me. He asked me what a girl like me was in a town like this. Lol! I understand what he meant now that I'm older and I wish I could've stayed in contact with him! I hope you both see this post and get ahold of me. Allen is also wanting to talk to y'all.
