Funeral services for Raymond Tucker, 75, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe. Rev. Dennis Hackler will officiate. A private burial will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery, Farmerville, Louisiana under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes, West Monroe. A visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Raymond Tucker was born on January 20, 1949 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and passed away on January 19, 2025 at his residence surrounded by family. Raymond served in the United States Army. He had a distinguished career in law enforcement in Louisiana, and retired with 25 years of service as a Probation and Parole Agent. He was an avid hunter and a very good marksman. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Katherine Tucker.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Jeanette Tucker of West Monroe; daughter, Jennifer Gavlick and husband Kenneth of Cooper, Texas; 8 grandchildren, Aidan Gavlick, Sophia Gavlick, Sarah Gavlick, Edward Tucker Gavlick, Elizabeth Gavlick, Victor Gavlick, Joseph Aubrey Gavlick and Walter Gavlick; sister, Mary Beth Brantley of Farmerville; special friends, Aimee Price, Trace Price and Allie Grace Thomas; and other extended family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers are Stephen Tucker, Marlon Bat Brantley, Kenneth Gavlick, Edward Tucker Gavlick, Trace Price and Dewayne Lenard.
Honorary pallbearers will be his cronies and colleagues in law enforcement.
