A graveside service for Everett “Ray” Gorton, age 93, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Etier Cemetery in Hebert, LA. Officiating will be his Son-in-Law, Scott Carson. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe.
Services are under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Bertie S. Gorton; and his parents, Mable and Lee Gorton; sisters, Clara Evens Owens and Juanita Young; brother, Buddy Gorton.
He is survived by his three daughters, Elizabeth “Liz” Nell Gorton, Johnnie Raye Carson and her husband, Scott, and Rhonda Deseamus and her husband, Marty all of West Monroe; Grandchildren, Martin Deseamus, Doug Deseamus, Britney Brodnax, Cody Russell, Tyler Ford, Hunter Ford, Kali Chase and Ginger Roberts; and eleven Great Grandchildren; sister, Fay G. Bulloch.
Ray was retired from Graphic Packaging. He was also honorably discharged from the United States Air Force. Ray loved his wife Bertie along with his three daughters. He had great love and affection for all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ray loved spending time with his family and fishing at his home on Woolen Lake in Hebert, LA.
