Funeral services for Ray Britt, 85, of Dubach, will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 5, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Dubach. Rev. Barry Joyner and Rev. Cory Bruce will officiate. Interment will be at Unionville Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.Ray Britt was born on April 1, 1934 in Dubach, LA to Clarence Edward Britt and Ruby Johnson Britt, and met his Lord and Savior on Monday, July 1, 2019 in Shreveport, LA.Ray was a graduate of LA Tech having earned his Masters Plus 30. He was a dedicated Math teacher for over 40 years. He enjoyed running the clock at Dubach High School games. He was a kind and generous man who helped so many people.Ray enjoyed teaching Sunday school and was in charge of the church sound system. He volunteered opening and closing the church so everyone will be comfortable with the climate, whether hot or cold.Ray was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Max and Douglas Britt; and his great nephew, Brandon Barrett.Left to cherish Ray memory are his son, Stanley Dison (Billie) of Dubach; brother, Billy Britt (Martha) of Dubach; sister, Janice Britt of Martinez, GA; grandsons: Josh Dison and John Dison; great grandson Blake Dison; and many nieces and nephews.Pallbearers honoring Ray are Josh Dison, John Dison, Tim Beckham, Thomas Britt, Dennis Owen, and Justin Wade. Serving as honorary pall bearer will be Ronald Madden.Visitation will be held Friday, July 5, from 1-2 PM prior to the service at the church.Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com.
