Love prayers and thoughts to Randy's family during this most sorrowful time. May the Lord give you comfort and peace today and the many days to come. I know my brother Mark will miss him so much but is grateful for all the wonderful memories he has to cherish.
Mark Rogers left a message on December 7, 2020:
Randy was the best friend a person could ask for growing up. We met in 1977 in Mrs. Case's 3rd grade class at Millsaps Elementary school when he was giving out birthday invitations. I happened to notice that his address was almost the same as mine was and we discovered that we only lived across the street and a couple of houses down from each other. We were inseparable after that point. I love him like a brother and I'm going to really miss him. We still had game nights periodically where we'd still play D&D and had an ongoing campaign that lasted for years and is still going. There are a lifetime worth of great memories that I'm grateful for and I wouldn't trade them for anything. Randy was the stubbornest person that I have ever met, bar none. His steel resolve was part of his charm and those who understood it were the ones that were the closest to him. A few years back we took a bucket list trip to the worlds largest video arcade in Laconia, New Hampshire and rented a little cabin there and played every video game from our childhood for 4 days. It was like taking a trip back in time to the arcade where we spent countless quarters trying to get our initials up on the scoreboard. Randy was going for the world record on the game Elevator Action, which was his favorite game. You couldn't ask for a better friend to grow up with, and I am grateful for every memory. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers and please leave a little donation if you could to help them with this unexpected expense.
