Ramsey Ballard Kilpatrick Funeral Home Ruston, LA Ramsey Ballard went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on November 25, 2013 in Dallas TX at the age of 26 years. The funeral services will be held Sunday, December 1, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ruston, LA. Officiating the service will be Rev. John Nugent and Dr. Michael Hawley. Interment will follow at Pisgah Cemetery in Bernice, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Ramsey graduated from Choudrant High School 2005 where he was a member of the Tennis Team. He and Jurdon Thomas won the state doubles Championship that year. Ramsey had a love for music and taught himself to play the drums and guitar. He never met a stranger and had many friends in Dallas and Ruston; Ramsey had a very special bond with his identical twin brother Andy. He is survived by his beloved brother: Andy Ballard; mother: Kimie Copeland Ballard; father: Dr. Richard Ballard; and step-mom: Marsha Ballard; step-brother: Len Snipe; and step-nephew: Gaige who loved his “Uncle wams”; grandparents: Rev. Monroe and Delores Copeland of Bernice, LA and Catherine Ballard and the late Ingram Ramsey Ballard of Farmerville; uncles: Kevin Copeland and Steve Ballard; and his aunt: Ann Lee along with two cats; Romo and Mav. Pallbearers will be Jurdon Thomas, McClain Thomas, Blake Thomas, Isaac Thomas, Dustin Pendergrass and Habtom Keleta. I am so sorry hear of your loss. Though I never had the opportunity to know Ramsey and it has been a long time since I have seen Richard and his mother, Ms. Ballard, I wanted you to know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Kimmie and Richard, we have such fond memories of ramsey while at AEP. Kirsti and Heath enjoyed ramsey at the beach one summer. He was Heath's guest but made kirsti who was just a little girl feel special. He was our Ramz. Can't begin to really understand the loss of a child.
