Funeral services for Ralph “Punchy” Hale, 74, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Beulah Community Church, Calhoun, Louisiana. Pastor Jon Tellifero will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes, West Monroe. A visitation will be held at 12 Noon until the time of service.
Punchy was born on May 29, 1950 in Yazoo City, Mississippi and passed away on March 31, 2025 at his residence in Calhoun, surrounded by his loved ones. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree with Mississippi State University and went to work with Entergy where he later retired after 42 years of loyal service. He was also a Free Mason with the Eros Lodge, member of the Society of American Foresters and the American Society Consulting Arborists. Punchy was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy L. Hale; and father, Ralph Hale, Sr.
Punchy is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Candace Hale; sons, Ben Dickerson, Dale Dickerson and wife Courtney; grandchildren, Breanna Dickerson, Dylan Dickerson, Jase Dickerson, Reed Dickerson, Karsyn Hertel and Brady Dickerson; brother, Bubba Hale and wife Pat; extended grandchildren, Briley Culberson and Kinley Culberson; along with other extended family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Roy Pierce, Guy Lynch, Mike Auttonberry, Quinn Wall, Noah Pitts and Dylan Dickerson. Honorary pallbearers will be James “Frog” Taylor and Joe York.
