Funeral services for Ralph Ezra Pops Stevens, Sr., 65 , of West Monroe, will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Faith Chapel, West Monroe with Reverend Roy Telano and Reverend Justin Nowlin Officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.Ezra was born in Monroe, LA, September 27, 1949 to Ralph and Reba Stevens and returned to his heavenly home, October 18, 2014 after a brief illness. Ezzie retired from Metro Ambulance after 30 years of service. He was an inspiration and mentor to many all across Northeast LA. His most favorite past-times were the many days spent with his son Chip racing at Twin City Drag and watching Chip fight in the Battle of the Badges every year. He loved watching his grandson Kendall play sports and spending time with family and friends.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patsy Lynn Stevens, grandson Riley Dean Stevens, Parents Ralph and Reba Stevens.He leaves behind his wife, Virginia Stevens; son, Chip and wife Karen; grandson, Kendall Stevens; brothers, Robert Stevens, Paul Stevens, and Charlie Stevens; his church baby Bridgette Henderson; his other children Timmy Thomas, Tasha Buie and Christina Thomas.To the strongest most faithful devoted Christian man Gone but never forgotten, your memory will always live on in the hearts and lives of all you have touched.Pallbearers are Stoney Goodman, Tim Zeigler, David May, Scott Johnson, Johnny Henderson, Chris Place, Jerry Murphy, and Mark Murphy.
