Funeral services for Ralph A. Hammond, Sr., 80, of Calhoun, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday,December 29, 2014, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. Pastor David Sisson will be officiating. Interment will follow at McCormick Cemetery, West Monroe.Ralph was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church. He worked for the Ouachita Parish Sheriff‚ Office for several years. He retired from the Food Service Maintenance Department of the Ouachita Parish School Board.He was preceded in death by wife, Peggy Jo McCurry Hammond; daughter, Kathy Bly; son, William Thomas Hammond; and sister, Sybil Brown. Ralph is survived by three daughters, Sherry D. Jones, Sondra Naron and husband Ronny, and Tammy Hammond; son, Ralph Hammond, Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Tangur; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul Hammond, Sr. and Harvey Hammond, Sr.; and sister, Gloria Rentz.Visitation will be held Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West MonroeOnline condolences may be sent to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.comKilpatrick Funeral HomeWest Monroe, LA
