What a man, what can i say hard worker, tale teller, give you the shirt off his back.I remember going to Minnie Mo's in Chatham and eating fish and laughing and of course him telling a "LISTEN HERE"story for us all.I have a true story to tell you'll,one evening Prentiss and Leter went to Chatham to eat and they got there earllier than RB and Mother by at least an hour and all that have went there know Pokey, well she carried on with Prentiss making sure his food and everybodies food was hot and good, say an hour later RB and Momma showed up to chow down too,Pokey stuck her head around the corner of the kitchen and waved at them then come back to the door real quick and started talking to herself why that Mr.Prentiss had came back so quick to eat with another woman!!!!!!!RB and Prentiss looked a lot alike and she gave RB a lecture poking him in the arm saying you bad then walking off.Me and Charles have fond memories of Prentiss and his family growing up.Praying for you all with love.

Although it has been sometime since I had spoken with Uncle Prentiss...memories of the times as kids fishing in his pond...baling hay on his land...certainly cherished thoughts I carry to this day...my fondness thoughts drift back to the summer of ‘79...out of school for the summer...and you guessed it...my Pop had me working with him that summer before high school...remodeling a church in Hale, Louisiana...Uncle Prentiss just happened to be working with my dad on the church that summer as well...we all know how good’ol carpenters hang together...anyway, my Pop run and get more material...leaving me and Uncle Prentiss working on the church...we were there most of the summer...and Uncle Prentiss told me a terrific line...and I quote “Davey, you can always tell people you worked in hale for the summer”! What a line! And it places a smile with me today as I think of him...and it will be a summer I’ll never forget with my Pop and Uncle Prentiss...Uncle Prentiss, you will be deeply missed...love, Davey. And to his family, my sincere prayers are with all of you...and I greatly appreciate the opportunity as a Pallbearer as we lay Uncle Prentiss to rest!
