Phillip Lanson Hughes\tFuneral services for Phillip Lanson Hughes, age 47, of Ruston will be held 1:00 P.M. Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston. Officiating the service will be Bro. Willie Cripps assisted by Bro. Steve Cripps. Interment will follow in Sibley Cemetery in Choudrant, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 11:30 A.M. until service time.\tMr. Hughes was born in Shreveport, LA on March 2, 1968 and died in Ruston on July 30, 2015.He is preceded in death by his father, Velmer Jackson Hughes and brother, Mark Shannon Hughes.\tPhillip is survived by his mother, Cora C. Wagner of Ruston; sisters, Debra Sue Aldridge and husband Junior. of Downsville, LA; Cindy Ann Puckett and husband Mack of Calhoun, LA; brothers, Shurwood Marvin Hughes of Downsville, LA; Durwood Allen Hughes and wife Pat of Ruston, LA; Troy Edwin Hughes and wife Jan of Ruston, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.\tPallbearers will be James Ferguson, Toby Hughes, Cody Hutson, Michael Hutson, Ronny Pounder, and Benito Reyes.
