Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline “Polly” Anthony, 79, of Monroe are at 2:00PM on Monday, April 23rd, 2012, in the Chapel of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe with Rev. Jeff Smart officiating. Interment follows at Faith Memorial Park, Hwy 17 South, Delhi, LA, under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Born February 13th, 1933, in Winnsboro, LA, Polly passed away on Friday, April 20th, 2012, in Monroe. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Swartz. She was a graduate of Baskin High School's Class of 1951. Polly's claim to fame was being a member of the 1948-1951 undefeated girls' basketball team, under the direction of Hall of Fame Coach Edna “Tiny” Tarbutton. Polly was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Rita McManus Rushing; her husband, Talmadge Anthony; her sister, Bernice McKeithen; and her brother, Troy Rushing. Survivors include her sons and their wives, Johnny and Carol Anthony, Jimmy and Connie Anthony, Danny and Susan Anthony, Larry and Arlene Anthony, and David and Aimee Anthony; 10 grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Barbara Rushing and Joyce Smith; a brother-in-law, Alton McKeithen; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Hayden Anthony, Stephen Anthony, Wesley Anthony, Bryan Banks, Larry Banks, Michael Banks, Dr. Paul Rushing, and Myron Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Landel McKeithen and Alton McKeithen. Visitation is Monday, April 23rd, 2012, from 10:00AM until 12:00Noon at the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.
