Patricia M. Buck

November 26, 1939 - July 14, 2024

Patricia M. Buck, 84, of Monroe, Louisiana, passed away on July 14, 2024. She was born November 26, 1939, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Patricia taught at Grace Episcopal for 8 years and retired from Ouachita Parish High School after 15 years. She is preceded in death by her former husband, Richard Buck; parents, Raymond W. Priest and Pansy E. Jones Priest; daughter, Melissa M. Hines; and great-grandson, Gunner Blalack.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Curry and son-in-law, Philip from Vista, CA; grandchildren, Colby Hines, from West Monroe, LA, Kindra Curry Blalack and her husband Travis from La Habra Heights, CA; great-grandchild, Fairen Blalack from La Habra Heights, CA; brother, James Priest and his wife Judy; nieces, Christina Priest Krag, Katie Priest Staed and her husband Patrick and their son, Sullivan; along with many other cherished family and friends.

The family would like to thank all of Pat’s friends and extended family that have been a part of her life over the years.

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at a later date.

I am so sorry to hear of Pat's passing. I spent a lot of time in her house spending time with her daughter, Missy. I miss her dearly and will also miss Ms. Pat. Prayers for you Kimberly.

Pat and I met at NLU when I was a freshman. We spent many hours painting together and spending time working on projects. We formed the Student Art Guild. We kept in touch after I graduated and started teaching art. Pat was a wonderfully talented lady. I still remember her paintings and the hours she spent working on them. God bless her soul.
