Ronnie, I was sorry to read about your father's passing. We met when we were students at Tech and lived in Vetville. You were small then and we used to babysit with you. Your dad was a smart man, a good man and a loyal man. He held the line on honesty and all the things that really matter. I know you will always have good memories of him, as will his many friends. God bless you Ronnie, during this time.
Dear Jo Ann, we are thinking of you and yours. May God bless you. Patty and Annette

Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family while you deal with your loss. Mr. Cardwell I always called him that will always be in the memories I have of the many years of racing. He carried that smile and politeness with him wherever he went.
To the Cardwell Family: Though it has been years since i've seen any of you, and i'm now a mom and a wife, I very much remember trips to Texas, Tennessee, and other states with my parents Mike and Tammy and all of you guys to the races. I always had so much fun! I also remember the trip to Big Bend and Galveston one summer. You all were like a second family for years, and I was very saddened to hear about Mr. Pat's passing. I will always remember him, and my heart goes out to all of you. I think it's safe to say that he won his final race. Much love to all of you, and may you find comfort in the good memories.

Dear Wrench, As many years have passed since our college days, also have many of our loved ones. Both of my parents are gone now, so I can relate to the emotions you are faced with at this time. I did, however, want to reflect on your father for one instance. Back in the day, when Carson Knotts had his roofing service, Carson, myself, & a few other professionals took on an apartment complex your father owned. Anyway, to shorten up a long story, I couldn't lay shingles very straight, and when the job was overwhich was Friday evening, your Dad came by to inspect the "professional" job we had provided. Well, needless to say he wasn't impressed. So Carson and I stayed laaattteee Friday afternoon correcting my blunder. I did find a job with Knott's Roofing that I excelled at though--shingle toater!! Doug, may God bless you and all your family! Peter Gunter
