Parveen was born in Lahore, Pakistan on December 24, 1941. Her family included 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She got married to Jacob B Roy in February 1972. They have two sons and two daughters. She got her Bachelor of Science from Jam Shora Hospital School of Nursing and started her life as a nurse with the Pakistan Air Force. Jacob and Parveen moved to Benghazi, Libya in pursuit of better opportunities where Parveen worked for 16 years. When her family moved back to Pakistan, she continued to work as a nurse at Faisal Memorial Hospital for 13 years. In 2000 Jacob and Parveen decided to come to Monroe, Louisiana to start a new chapter in their lives. Parveen worked here as a CNA at St Francis Hospital for another 12 years till her retirement.
Parveen spent her life tirelessly working for the betterment of her family. She was a dedicated wife and a loving mother. She loved her family, watching television, and especially watching wrestling. She loved to cook and feed her children and others that came to their home.
Parveen is preceded in death by her parents Jacob Robertson and Grace Jacob, and brother Eric Robertson. Parveen is survived by her husband Jacob B Roy, and her children Abid Roy, Zerash Sajid, Faryal Umram, and Amer Roy. Her grandchildren include Hamish Roy, Hashub Roy, Hannan Roy, Abraham Sajid, Joshua Sajid, Dua Umram, Roha Umram, and Serah Roy.
Her surviving siblings are Sheerin Calvin, Nasreen Haroon, Alexander Robertson, Arthur Robertson, and Issac Robertson.
Funeral services for Parveen Roy will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe officiated by Rev. Mark Fenn. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Ahsan Henry, Saqib Roy, Samer Roy, Haroon Roy, Abraham Sajid, and Joshua Sajid.
