Funeral services for Pamela “Pam” Sue Perryman Smith, 73, of West Monroe, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 7, 2025 in Feazel Chapel at First West Baptist Church. Dr. Woods Watson, Dr. Mark Fenn, and Dr. Michael Wood will officiate. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Monday, January 6, 2025 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe.
Pam was born on November 9, 1951 in Minden and passed away after a lengthy battle with alzheimers on January 5, 2025 in West Monroe, surrounded by her family. She was a member of First West Baptist Church in West Monroe and was an executive secretary for State Farm Insurance. She graduated from Ouachita Parish High School in 1970, alumni of Northeast Louisiana University where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi and was picked as a Pi Kappa Alpha “Dream Girl”. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Troy Briggs Perryman and Peggy Baker Perryman; two brothers, Jerry Perryman and John Perryman.
Pam is survived by her husband, Rob Smith; children, Kristi Jones and husband James, Robyn Garsee and husband Jason, Wendi Gathright and husband Jay; grandchildren, Zach Jones, Hayden Garsee, Tyler Garsee, Avery Gathright, Adelynn Gathright, John Oliver Gathright; sister, Memory Whitlock; brother, Jimmy Perryman; sister – in – law, Connie Fatheree and husband Johnny; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and other cherished family and friends.
A special thank you to Erika Spencer, FNP; her sitter, Annalee Watson; hospice nurse, Shamia Banks, RN; her precious sister, Memory Whitlock for always taking care of Pam.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Fulmer, Randy Russell, Myron McCormick, Bob Heflin, Johnny Pace, Gene Barnett, Stanley Dupuy, and Steven Whitlock. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Flourney and Jody Loftin.
Memorials may be made to Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home in Monroe.
