Graveside services will be held for Ouida Autys Burch Burns at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 13th, 2021 at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, Louisiana under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home- Monroe. Brother Norman Bryant will officiate the service.
Ouida was born July 22, 1927 in Ladelle, Arkansas and passed into eternal rest on November 7, 2021 while residing in Statesboro, Georgia. Ouida is preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Donald Rex Burns; her parents, Calvin Ward and Ethel Charlie Burch of Sterlington, Louisiana; her siblings, Gladis Slaughter Daugherty, Thomas Virgil Burch, Hazel Bessie Burch Hughling, Curtis Carl Burch, and Margie Maxine Burch Sawyer and great-granddaughter, Ester Marilyn “Emma” Omeres Turner.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Ann Burns Turner and husband Doyle Turner Jr.; her son, Jimmy Don Burns and wife Katie; grandchildren, Paul Michael Turner and wife Cherrie, Duanne Alan Turner and fiance’ Allyson Sterling and Nathan Alan Burns; great-grandchildren, Kayla Rose Turner, Nora Autys Turner, Truett Alan Turner, Jackson Doyle Turner and Paula Jane Turner; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Ouida loved being a homemaker, sewing, and working outdoors in the garden. And oh how she cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren spoiling them all she could. She is now with her loving husband, Don, whom she longed to see again, and with those loved ones who preceded her, free of the cares of this world, in the presence of Jesus.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Burns, Doyle Turner, Duanne Turner, Nathan Burns, Dale Hughling, and David Burch.
