Funeral services for Otis Junior McKee will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2019 at Riser Funeral Home Chapel, Columbia, LA, with Rev. Larry Russell and Rev. Billy McClanahan officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Sandy Bayou Cemetery Hwy 559, Columbia, LA with Rev. Dalton Jordan officiating.Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Judith Ann McKee; three sons, W. Mark McKee and his wife Darla, Tom Paul McKee and his wife Stephanie and Jason McKee and his wife Deanna; 4 grandchildren, Hannah McKee, Thorne McKee, Jenna McKee, and Andrew McKee; six sisters, Edna Craft and her husband Mickey, Mary Elizabeth May, Devonne Earls and her husband Shelton, Sue Jacobson and her husband Gary, Nancy Creel and her husband Calvin, and Pam Ruddell and her husband Scooter; brother-in-law, David Ainsworth and sister-in-law, Barbara Donovan; and numerous nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Verena McKee, sister, Virginia Ann Ainsworth, 2 nephews, Clayton and Brock, and 2 brothers-in-law.Otis was born February 20, 1942 in Columbia, LA and passed away August 3, 2019 following a brief illness. As a young man Otis married his beloved wife Judith Ann and fathered 3 boys. He was a man of God who served faithfully as Deacon at Sandy Bayou Baptist Church. He retired from Flint Ink after 39 years as shipping manager; the friendships he developed there held a special place in his heart. Otis was elected to the Caldwell Parish School Board for several terms. He spent many hours coaching his sons Dixie Baseball where he influenced many other young men. Otis loved hunting, fishing, and arguing with his boys. In recent years he enjoyed spending time tending his cattle and riding around the farm with his grandchildren.The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Richard Fincher and the NSICU Nurses at St. Francis Medical Center, for their compassion and care shown to the McKee family during this difficult time.Memorials may be made to Sandy Bayou Baptist Church, 4803 Hwy 559, Columbia, LA 71418.
