Steve, John and Sharon Rugg I am sorry to read about your grandmother and wish to extend my sympathy. From time to time while online I will take a look at the Monroe obituaries. A friend from Alexandria is a Green from Bastrop and has said he had family from Union parish. That is why I read your grandmotherís obituary. It was a joy to see Steve and Johnís names. There was a writer out of New Orleans named Jim Metcalf who wrote a story about not attending his high school reunion. He said by not attending, he remembered them as they were the last time he saw them. In his mind they were still young teenagers. It has been 34 years since I left Sterlington. So my memories of each of you are from a younger time in our lives. Here are my Cliff notes of the past 34 years. After my senior year at Hahnville High, I went to LSU and graduated a mechanical engineer. I got married while at LSU. I had my fist son, Adam in 84 and my second son, Scott in 91. I got caught up in the oil bust of the early 80ís, went to UNO and got an MBA in 86. To escape the bad Louisiana job market, I moved to Houston in 88 and have been here since. Got divorced in 94 and have been single since. Eight years ago, while skiing in Colorado, I met a girl from Alexandria. We have been engaged for the past year. Hope all is well with each of you. I am glad I had the opportunity to say hello. Best Regard, Alden Alleman
