Mrs. Odessa Deville Kavanaugh Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA Funeral services for Odessa Deville Kavanaugh, 85, of El Dorado, Arkansas, Formally of Sterlington, Louisiana, will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, November 27, 2006, in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, Louisiana. Burial will follow in Christ Church Cemetery in Bastrop, Louisiana. Mrs. Kavanaugh was born March 13, 1921, near Bonita, Louisiana, in rural Morehouse Parish, Louisiana, the daughter of Obie and Clara Belle Whitehead Deville, and went home to be with the Lord, November 25, 2006. Mrs. Kavanaugh was a 50+ year member of Sterlington Assembly of God Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher. She adored and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed immensely working in her flower gardens and fishing. Mrs. Kavanaugh was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 45 years, Ernest Kavanaugh; 2 sons; Kenneth Kavanaugh and Johnny Ray Kavanaugh; 2 brothers: Gregory Deville and Pat Deville. She is survived by one daughter: Phyllis Ann Ledet and husband Michael of Houma, Louisiana; one son: Ernest Gale Kavanaugh and wife Bettye S. of El Dorado, Arkansas; one sister: Eloise Kavanaugh of West Monroe, Louisiana; daughter-in-law Theresa D. Hudson and husband Dan of West Sterlington, Louisiana; 6 grand children: Theresa L. Olvera, Sonya R. Danials and husband Dale, Joseph E. Menier and wife Tish, Kenneth E. Kavanaugh, and wife Marcy, Kimberly A. Wheelus and husband Ben, Jason G. Kavanaugh and wife Crystal; 7 great grandchildren: Laura Shadic, Ciara Menier, Derrick Menier, Kaitlyn Kavanaugh, Matthew Kavanaugh, Patrick Danials, and Jamie Wheelus; and 9 nieces and nephews.
