Funeral services for Obie Derrick Franks, 76, of West Monroe, will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, June 15, 2012 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Pastor Clay Cain will be officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Mrs. Franks was born January 2, 1936 in Downsville, LA and she passed away July 13, 2012 in West Monroe, LA. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Obie is survived by her daughters, Karen Edmonds, and Cheri Cumpton and husband Tommy; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Pallbearers are Rueben McClanahan, Derek McClanahan, Darrell Dunn, Jacob White, Kenneth McNeil, and Roy Wisdom. Visitation will be held Saturday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Special thanks to caregiver Elvis Stelly and to St. Joseph's Hospice.
