Funeral services for F. Neal Duncan, 89, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe. Dr. Michael Wood and Dr. Mark Fenn will be officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery, West Monroe under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Neal was born on January 12, 1936 in Greenbrier, Arkansas to Thomas Woodrow and Cathleen Strickland Duncan and passed from this heavenly earth on June 21, 2025 in West Monroe, surrounded by family. Neal became a member of West Monroe First Baptist Church in 1963, where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Director and sponsored the Youth Choir. He enjoyed rejoicing the Lord with his family and his church family. He retired from Georgia Pacific after 46 years of loyal service and dedication to the job. Neal was an avid sports fan and had a passion for baseball as he served on several boards for Dixie Youth and was a Dixie Youth Baseball coach. He was also a huge supporter and fan of ULM Athletics as well as West Monroe sports. Neal was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Herschel Duncan; sister, Irma D. Holland; nephew, Tommy Duncan; and nieces, Karen Duncan Parker and Joy Brasher Haley.
Neal is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Peggy Duncan; sons, Greg Duncan and wife Stephanie, Woody Duncan and wife Sara; grandchildren, Bradley Duncan, Kelli Duncan Ellis and husband J.R., Sydney Duncan and fiancé Daniel Gordy and Seth Duncan; sister, Ann Duncan Brasher; brothers-in-law, Jim Chapman and wife Monika, Mike Chapman and wife Linda, Truman Chapman and wife Teresa, Raymond Chapman; uncle, Carroll Strickland; many nieces and nephews; along with other cherished family and friends.
Honoring Neal serving as pallbearers are Bradley Duncan, Seth Duncan, Sonny Haynes, J.R. Ellis, Daniel Gordy and Jay Copeland.
The family extends a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Landmark Nursing Home and the Doctors and staff at Glenwood Regional Medical Center.
