Graveside services for Nancy Lois Shell, of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 9, 2014 at Chatham Cemetery, Chatham, Louisiana. Rev. David Moreland will officiate under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.Nancy was born on July 18, 1945 in Monroe, Louisiana to Jacob (Jake) and Lois Shell. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, May 5, 2014 at the age of 68.A graduate of West Monroe High School and Northeast Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Music Education Degree, Nancy was a talented pianist and church musician. Her love of music shone through with the education she provided to numerous students during her thirty five years of teaching the art of playing piano. Her love of the Lord shone through in all of her daily interactions with everyone she met. She grew up as a member of McGuire Methodist Church in West Monroe.She is survived by her three children; Michael Chapman of Pearl, Mississippi, Mary Frances Chapman of Cathlamet, Washington and Brian Chapman of Katy, Texas; three grandchildren, Jacob Bush of Moore, Idaho and Aaron and Benjamin Bush of Cathlamet, Washington; and three step-children from a previous marriage, Michael and Jason Greene of West Monroe, Louisiana and Jeremy Greene of Terre Haute, Indiana.The family gives special thanks to Susan, Jeff and Michaela Harris, Janis, Scott and Sabrina Fowler, Cecile Marzula, Frances Anne and Jim Gregory, Theresa Lutz, Nikki and others from Hospice Compassus, Maradye Rinehart, Marta Mathis and the staff of the West Monroe Guest House.Visitation will be held Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

My precious friend. I am so glad the Lord brought you back into my life 18 months ago and that my husband and child got to know you. Most of all I am thankful for your knowledge of the Bible you shared with me and your friendship. Many wonderful memories of our days and nights of talk and laughter.
