Funeral services for Nalda “Joe” Davis of West Monroe, Louisiana will be at 12:00 PM, Monday, July 26, 2021 at Community Baptist Church, with Rev Danny McIlveene officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Calhoun, Louisiana under the directions of Kilpatrick Funeral Home ~ West Monroe. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 until time of service at the church.
Mr. Davis was born on October 24, 1931, in Choudrant, Louisiana and he was 89 years old when he passed away on July 23, 2021, in West Monroe, Louisiana. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Helen Virginia Davis, his daughter, Linda Fields and her husband Steve Fields: his son, Bruce Davis and wife Diane Davis; granddaughter, Angela Zirkle Carrell and her husband, James; grandsons, Christopher Davis and wife Bobbi, Brandon Davis and wife Lacy, Daniel Davis and wife Denise, and Matt Davis and wife Krystal; great grandchildren, Shelby Flanery and her husband Dalton, Lacie Zirkle, Dylan Davis, Anna Brooke Davis, Lane Davis, Jace Davis, Kaylee Davis, Holden Davis and Hayes Davis; great-great-grandchildren,Brianna Flanery and Carter Joe Stephen Flanery.
Joe was ordained as a deacon in 1975 and was a charter member of Community Baptist Church. He retired from Louisiana Power and Light after 25 years and Central Oil after 17 years. He was very active in his church, an avid reader and loved his morning coffee. Joe Davis was a kind, caring Christian man who loved his family and the Lord and was an inspiration to all.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Davis, Brandon Davis, Daniel Davis, Matt Davis, Dalton Flanery and James Carrell.
