Myrna Odom Stokes

Funeral services for Myrna Odom Stokes, 81, of Bernice, LA., will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020, at the First Baptist Church in Bernice, LA.  Officiating the service will be Rev. Stan Wyant. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church.  Interment will be held in Hamilton Cemetery in Dubach, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville.

Myrna was born on July 15, 1938 in Farmerville, LA, and passed away on February 23, 2020 in Farmerville, LA.  Myrna was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bernice, LA and retired from Community Trust Bank in Bernice, LA., after 36 years. She is preceded in death by her husband Hershell Caroll Stokes, parents Ondus and Oleta, brother G.C. Phelps, sister Mary Alice Booth, and grandson-in-law Raymond Joshua Shedden.

Left to cherish her memories is her Sister, Patricia Savage (Charlie) of Farmerville, LA;  Daughter, Denise Stokes McMullen  ( Ricky) of Monroe, LA; Son, Timothy Marion Stokes (Emily) of Rocky Branch, LA; Grandchildren:  Stephen Sanders and (Elicia) of Mountville PA; Daniel Stokes and (Amy) of Farmerville, LA: Jennifer Norris (Ryan) of Monroe, LA; Kyle Stokes and (Kelli) of Farmerville, LA; Karol Stokes of Salt Lake City, UT; Edison Gregory of Rocky Branch, LA; and 11 Great- Grandchildren,  and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Sanders, Daniel Stokes, Kyle Stokes, Ryan Norris, Tommy Welch, and Scott  Aden.
