Sister Virginia was born on January 29, 1931 in Monroe, Louisiana and passed away peacefully into the Lord’s arms on March 22, 2025 at the age of 94. She loved her church family and truly enjoyed the generous giving of her time and love through her church. Sister Virginia’s immediate family affectionally knew her as “The Who” because of the sweet “YooHoo” greeting she would call out when entering the room. Until the end there was no slowing her down. With her church family, she gave her time and energy visiting those unable to leave their homes, enjoying her board games with her friends, spending time with her “Queenagers” group and “Sunshine Friends”, and never missed an opportunity to share the blessing that God had bestowed upon her life. Sister Virginia was preceded in death by her son, Christopher “Chris” Glenn Lenard of Calhoun.
Those left to cherish Sister Virginia’s memories include two sons, Dennis Lenard and wife Lynette of West Monroe, Louisiana, and John Lenard of Columbia, Louisiana; daughter, Paula Lenard of Ashville, North Carolina; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she loved and always held closely in prayer; many other cherished family, friends, and a host of extended church friends.
