DOUGLASS PFEIFER left a message on March 24, 2024:
Recently heard about Karen passing. It is so sad. Though I had not seen her since the mid 1960's (in Italy) Karen was in my thoughts and memories many times. She made a geeky looking very awkward classmate feel welcome and even normal in 4th and 5th grade on the San Vito/ Brindisi Air Base. Karen was my first "girlfriend" even though she would of been surprised and did not know it. Karen being nice and friendly towards me then stuck with me my whole life. And, I am so sad to know she is no longer with us. Doug Pfeifer

So sad. I knew Karen long ago in grade school living in Italy. Last talked with her as she entered college. I remember her as such a nice person and friend to an awkward geeky classmate (me). I remember her with fondness. She was special. Doug Pfeifer

My thoughts and prayers to the Thaggard and Crowe families on their loss of Karen. I knew her as a very young girl in Italy that looked up to her brothers. The memory of Karen will live on.

The sting of death is very painful and hard to undergo. Through God's word the Bible we can find comfort. John5:28,29 says "All those in the memorial tombs will come out.

I've known Karen since 1979. We went through a lot together. Marriage, divorce, and remarraige, moving from state to state, careers, buying homes, having babies, and raising our sons, who were also nearly the same age. She called me on my birthday every year and even across the miles, we spoke often and visited each other when able. She was always a great friend, positive and easy to get along with. She was also beautiful, kind, and funny. My heart is broken and I miss her deeply. My deepest condolences to RIchard, Wesley, and Kathy Landry. I pray for comfort for you all.

My prayers are with all family and friends. I loved Karen as a big sister, since she was like a sister to my big sister, Kathy Holloway. She was so sweet. Her smile would light up a room. She will be missed by all who were blessed to have known her. I regret that I didn’t see her much, but always knew she was just a phone call away. Richard and Wesley, you were so very blessed that God chose her to be your wife and Mother. Always remember how much she loved you both. ?
