Funeral Services for Joye Hinton, 80, will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, March 23, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Farmerville. Bro. Kurt Auger will officiate. Interment will follow at Acree Cemetery in Point, LA under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes. Visitation will be at First Baptist Church in Farmerville from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
Joye Hinton entered her heavenly home on March 20th, 2025. She was born on March 3rd, 1945, in Farmerville, LA to William “Shooter” and Marie Adkins. Joye was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Farmerville. She is known for her china painting, teaching and as a business owner.
Joye was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Troy Hinton; her father, William Jesse Adkins; her mother, Eddie Marie Bryan-Adkins; and brother, John Adkins. She is survived by children, Jodi Odom (Damon) and Jason Hinton (Tonya); grandchildren, Jessie Ledet (Mark), Cade Hinton, Jake Odom (SkylaRae), and Ethan Hinton; and great-grandson coming soon Oliver Ledet. Joye’s absence leaves a void in the lives of all those who loved her, but her legacy of love and laughter will live on.
