Helen Tarver Cooper, 85, loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend went to heaven on February 10, 2017, with her family by her side. Helen was born October 21, 1931, in Olla, LA, but moved to West Monroe over sixty years ago.She retired from Rack Service in accounts payable. She was an active member of Fair Park Baptist Church for 60 years. She loved being with her Sunday school class. She enjoyed sewing, ceramics, crocheting, and playing cards. Her most precious joy was being a mom and mamaw. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She is survived by her children and their spouses, William Cooper and wife Reba of Noblesville, IN, Nancy Dever and husband Ronnie of West Monroe, Sharon Norris and husband Tom of Calhoun; step-daughter Kate Cooper and husband Al Holbrook of Carolina Beach, NC; grandchildren, Jessica Odom and husband John, Melissa Kiper, Chase Cooper and wife Erica, Jamie Norris, and Casey Cooper; step-granddaughter, Danielle Landers; great-grandchildren, Savana, Jade, and Drew Huff, and Kayley Cooper; her siblings, Dorothy Broussard, Clifton Tarver and wife Jackie, and Dr. Stanley Clark and wife Kathleen; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer Elwood Cooper; her mother, Gertrude Eubanks Tarver; her father, Lonnie Everitt Tarver; and a very special aunt, Eliza Everitt.Pallbearers will be Chase Cooper, Doug Tarver, Brian Tarver, John Odom, Jason Miller, and Jeff Baker.The family would like to thank Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care and her daily caregivers for the wonderful care they provided.Memorials may be made to Fair Park Baptist Church, 4412 White Ferry Road, West Monroe, LA 71291.
