Funeral Services for Eleanor Ann Ballard, 90, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 28, 2025 at Downsville Methodist Church. Bro. Bobby Taylor will officiate. Interment will follow at Downsville Cemetery in Downsville, LA under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes. Visitation will be at Downsville Methodist Church in Downsville from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 28, 2025.

Ann entered her heavenly home on March 25, 2025. She was born on September 6, 1934, in Downsville, LA to AC “Judge” and Versie Hale. Ann was a lifelong member of Downsville Methodist Church. A graduate from LA Tech, Ann got her Bachelors and Masters Degree in Dietetics. She retired from Union General Hospital but remained active in her community participating with Union Council on Aging and Senior Olympics. Ann enjoyed traveling with friends around the United States.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, James “Jimmy” Ballard; her father, AC “Judge” Hale; and mother, Versie Russell Hale. She is survived by children, Walter Ballard (Tara), Gary Ballard (Linda) and Barbie Littleton (Alan); grandchildren, Jesse Littleton, Justin Littleton, Ryan Ballard and Vivien Ballard; and many family and friends.

Ann lived her life centered on God, Family and Friends. With her favorite Bible verse being Psalms 118:24, it showed in her every effort to be involved and enjoy life.
