We truly lost a great man. He was a kind soul. I don't remember a time he wasn't a pleasure to be around. He was one of the good ones. I'll never forget Mardi Gras in Monroe because of him.

My prayers are with you all at this time. I, too, have many fond memories of Jan, Billy, and Bobby growing up on University Ave. Sue, may God wrap you in His loving arms as you walk down this road. I lost my husband very suddenly a few years ago. The Lord will lead you through this one day at a time. Praying for you and your entire family to have the "peace which passeth all understanding" at this time. Philippians 4: 6-7

Bobby is one of the stars of my bayou childhood: turtle huntin', running leaps off docks, a neighborhood shivaree, throwing poker cheats in, redirecting driverless boats, and generally chasin' down who-dos. Rest in peace, brother. You are fondly remembered.

Jan I am so sorry for the loss of your brother. I know it isn't easy. Brothers are the ones you always need. I should know. So sorry I will not be coming to the service due to being sick still. If there is anything we can do, please let us know. Just a call away. Love, Jennifer and Tarrell

Bobby was an awesome husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will truly be missed but never forgotten. Knowing he is with our Father in Heaven and his friend and companion dog Cindy is a comfort. Though Sue, Scott, Sam, and family grieve over the physical loss, Bobby’s spirit will always abound and be with all who knew him.

My earliest vivid memory was when Bobby's employer then, IMC Chemical, now Angus, experienced a terrible accident. Racing to the Plant to see what I might be able to do I found Bobby outside the gates, and I approached him. I asked how I could help, and he said," My truck isn't in the parking lot anymore so if you could get me to the hospital, I'd appreciate it". That eventually led to me giving him a ride home and a new friendship was born. My favorite Memory of the Rainer Family was a Wednesday night when Bobby's Son Scott was dropping my daughter Casey off at home. I did not realize He was Bobbys Son then. Casey was upset at another young lady who had placed herself in between Scott and Casey for the ride home. Our discussion (father daughter talk) gave her the resolve she needed to be able to speak her mind. A bit later there was a knock at the door, and it was Scott, stopping back by to see if Casey was OK. Something told me then that was the beginning of a strong relationship that would yield us Two Remarkable Granddaughters and a set of In-laws That would become the closest of friends. I will miss Bobby deeply especially since we couldn't connect as planned in Baton Rouge for Christmas 2021, due to Covid at my mom's house. It's particularly heartwarming to know Cindy will rest with him until We're all raised to be with the Lord on that day. Sue, I simply cannot imagine the pain you're feeling now but rest assured, your family is there to help guide you through these difficult times as are we here in Oklahoma should you need us. You are always welcome here. Rest in Peace my Friend until God raises us all to his Glory!

I've probably known Bobby as long as just about anyone other than Bill. We did a lot of crazy things growing up in the neighborhood that involved the bayou, boats bicycles and cars. Even though I moved away and haven't seen him in a while, I have fond memories of our childhood and will always remember him. Take comfort in the fact that you will see him again one day.
