Rickie D. Beavers went home to be with his heavenly Father early in the morning on May 8, 2015. He was surrounded by his loving mother, sister and daughter.Rickie was born on December 12, 1958. He was a devoted son, father, brother, grandfather and uncle who will be missed by all those whose lives he touched. He was employed as a pipefitter for most of his life. He was an avid sports enthusiast. He especially loved his New Orleans Saints and went to games every chance that he got. He also loved to golf, frisbee golf, hunt, fish, and play poker with his many friends. His closest friend was his beloved dog Bear.He was preceded in death by his father Ollie Ray Beavers, Sr. and his step-father Howard L. Hough. He is survived by his mother, Jo Ann Stansel; his sister, Vanessa Keith and husband T. Bradley; his brother, Ray Beavers; his two daughters, Melissa Atkinson and husband Patrick and Miranda Duffy and husband Dusty; his six grandchildren, Katelyn, Gabe, Cecilia, Isabelle, Aurora and Brantley; his nephews, David and Colin.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, May 11, 2015 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. Pastors Cecil Herrington and Gregory Antley will officiate. Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am Monday. He will be laid to rest at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Choudrant, LA.Pallbearers will be Timmy FishAntley, Dustin Duffy, Bo Ingles, T. Bradley Keith, Donnie Medlin, Ricky Statham, Barry Taylor, and Ricky Upshaw.
