Elmer was the patriarch of a wonderful family that lived next door to us in Monroe. My parents wish to offer their condolences as well and have fond memories of Elmer and his family. His work was impeccable. My parents still have the table that he repaired 50 years ago. We will remember him in our thoughts and keep you in our prayers.

Elmer was our neighbor and the father of our great friends while growing up on Westchester Drive. He was kind, jovial, supportive, straightforward, a man of God. We played baseball, tackle football, basketball with Rodney and Ricky almost daily. Elmer built a fence for the backyard. In no time, that backyard became like a baseball stadium. Hitting a homer over that fence was a thrill. Though, Elmer was probably not pleased that we would knock a wooden panel out with a solid line drive to the wall, he repaired it quickly never complaining or scolding us. He was a man with integrity, a man I admired and respected in our neighborhood. As a carpenter, Elmer's work was impeccable, solid. He is in the Kingdom of God now, and God bless his soul. Thank you Lord for giving us some time with this fine man of yours.Jack Gunn

Elmer worked with our family business for several years. He was highly respected and admired by all he knew him, including the Dupuy family, and especially my dad, Gene. Elmer is a part of our family as well and he'll be sorely missed. Our sincerest condolences are extended to Irene and family.
