Funeral services for Morris Ray ¨Doc Parnell, 59, of Algiers, LA will be 10:00 AM Friday, August 4, 2006, at New Hope Baptist Church in Choudrant, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Dewayne Monk. Interment will be at New Hope Church Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. Parnell passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2006. He was born in Winnsboro, LA. He was a retired Relay Foreman Technician with Entergy LP&L for the past 37 years. He is survived by his wife Marianne Harrison Parnell; children, Bernadette and Paul Parnell; brothers, Edie and Billy Jack Parnell. Pallbearers will be Roy Hepting, Steve Walker, Hank LaBlanc, Harold R. Parnell, Charles Franklin, and Kenneth W. Parnell, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul T. Parnell, Roy Ross Lapie, and Justin Klumpp. Visitation will be 8:00 AM 10:00 AM Friday, August 4, 2006 at the church.
