Mona Lent Humble

Mona Lent Humble was born September 10, 1935 and passed away on June 4, 2024, in Monroe, Louisiana.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Humble; parents, Isaac and Bessie Lent; sisters, Eva Joy Smith, Teenie Shambro; niece, Angela Greer; and her favorite Granny Pearl.

Mona’s passion in life was being a wife, mother and especially a Nana.  Her world revolved around her daughter and three granddaughters, whom she enjoyed babysitting every weekend.  Mona’s love for the Lord was evident through her love and selflessness towards her family and everyone around her. She was a “Nana” to so many, and made everyone feel special and loved. Mona also never turned down a cold Coca-Cola.

Mona is survived by her daughter, Shelly McCormick and her son-in-law Bob; grandchildren, Amber Krogmire and her husband Mikel, Cherish McCormick and her husband Blayne, Charm Hathorn and her husband Josh; 5 great-grandchildren, Cayden, Jude, Harlow, Noah, Ezra; and her very special niece, Kaylee Winkler.

The family would like to thank the fabulous staff of St. Joseph Assisted Living for the last 4 years of their care of Mona.

Mrs. Humble was laid to rest in the family plot at Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens, West Monroe.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
