Services for Miss Winnie Mae Lindsay, age 87 of West Monroe, LA will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 7, 2007 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA with Rev. William A. Dub Massey officiating. Interment to follow at Twin Cities Memorial Gardens, West Monroe, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA. She loved her churches Edgewood and Clark Springs Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School as long as her health would permit. Miss Lindsay obtained her B.A. degree from Louisiana Tech University Ruston, LA and a M A degree from the University of Denver, Colorado. She taught school for many years in West Carroll, Morehouse and Ouachita Parishes. Miss Lindsay was preceded in death by her mother Edna Lindsay and father, Lonnie Lindsay, brothers, Willie, Luther and Fred Lindsay and sister Marie McNeil all of West Monroe, LA. Survivors include sisters Doris McNeil and Flora Strittman and husband James of West Monroe, LA, brother Kenyon Lindsay and wife Marie of Downsville, LA; sister-in-law, Betty Lindsay and Lyda Lindsay of West Monroe, LA. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Adam Wilbanks, Ricky Wilbanks, Jerry Lindsay, Clarence White, Jay Simpson and Shelby McManus. Honorary pallbearers will be James Roland McNeil, Trey Martin and Dave Lindsay. Special thanks to Adam Wilbanks as care giver, Dr. Clyde Elliott his many years of service, and the employees of Glenwood 4th floor North.
