Mrs. Mildred Warren Frith Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Warren Frith, 75 of West Monroe, LA Monroe, will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 20, 2007 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Dr. Robert Holloway and Rev. Huey Diffey officiating. Interment to follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, West Monroe, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Frith was born January 30, 1931 in Kemper County, Mississippi and died in Monroe, LA on January 17, 2007. Mrs. Frith is survived by her husband of over 51 years, L.V. Frith, son, Larry Frith of Fairfield, CA and daughter Patti Burns and husband Sam of Calhoun, LA; sisters; Alice Gilbert of Bastrop, LA, Ruth Thomas of Toomsuba, MS, Belle Moore and husband, Henry of Quitman, MS, Roberta Thompson of Fayetteville, GA, Janie Smylie of Meridian, MS, Dorothy Porter and husband, Donald of Quitman, MS, Bonnie White of Dekalb, MS; brothers; Wayne Warren and wife Jean of Dekalb, MS, Jimmy Warren of Dekalb, MS, and Joe Warren and wife Sandra of Dekalb, MS. Mrs. Frith was a member of Dixie Chapter #179, Order of the Eastern Star for over 40 years. During these many years, she was Worthy Matron four times, Grand Officer, Grand Representative to Manitoba, Canada and many other positions in her chapter and in state offices. As a military wife, she enjoyed traveling in every state, most of the Canadian Providences and many states in Mexico and lived in Alaska for many years. She was very active with Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and Christian Education while living in California. As a result of her many tireless hours she was honored by the Girl Scout Council of Northern California and received a lifetime membership in the California PTA. After retirement and returning to Louisiana, she became involved in volunteer activities. Another interest Millie thoroughly enjoyed was Mission work at Gospel Nuggets. For several years she prepared tons of clothes for the mission fields. Millie gave of her time on the border of Mexico and with the Choctaw and Cherokee Indians in Oklahoma. She also prepared meals for missionaries who stayed at Gospel Nuggets and received missionaries in her home. For the past several years she has raised thousands of dollars for medical equipment at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport and the War Veterans Home in Monroe. Pallbearers will be John Wiltcher, George McDanell, Harold Griggs, Jerry Mobley, Paul Tolbird and Eldon Howell. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA. Memorials may be made to Watson Church, or to your favorite charity.
