Funeral services for Mike Jones, age 47, will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 20, 2012 at Lapine Assembly of God. Officiating will be Rev. Gene Benson. Interment will follow in Lapine Assembly of God cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of West Monroe. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ray Jones, Sr., and mother-in-law Ruby Rice. He is survived by his wife, Nora Jones of Ruston, LA; son, Michael Jones Jr. and his wife, Carrie of Ruston, LA; daughter, Danielle Day and her husband, Edwin of Ruston, LA; mother, Janice Cook and Jack Cook; brother, Donald “Ray” Jones and his wife, Tammy; father-in-law, John Rice and wife Sherry; special friends Dub and Eve Brister; many nieces, nephews and beloved friends. Mike was an avid hunter and loved to fish. He enjoyed coaching baseball and was also a member of Lapine Assembly of God. Pallbearers will be Grady Foster, Jr., Phillip Watkins, Mark Fraley, Luke Fraley, Jamie Nivens and Justin Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dub Brewster and Jack Cook. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Lapine Assembly of God.
