Funeral services for Merlie Adams, age 101, will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday February 9, 2012 at the Rayville Church of God with Rev. Jimmy Pelley and J.W. Bunn officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe, LA. Mrs. Adams was born on July 5, 1910 and passed away Saturday February 4, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents Pat and Dora Ainsworth, husband Leon Adams, and infant daughter Glenda Gaye. She was a loving mother to her four surviving daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and John Greer, Elaine and Floyd Duchesne, Dorene DeVoter and Ann Johnston. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, Sherra Montz, Lisa Sitko, Brenda Roark, Cynthia Duchesne Hardin, Sonya Bradley, Roger Duchesne and Keith Johnston, 13 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be J.W. Bunn, Rick Richmond, Clint Simmons, Austin Harrelson, Billy Johnston and Rev. George Bloomingdale. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Lovelady, TJ Sitko and Doyle Morgan. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00PM on Wednesday February 8, 2012 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe, 1200 Lamy Lane.
