Funeral services for Melissa Anne Dulaney will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe.  Sister Rubye Dulaney will officiate.  Interment will follow at Luna Methodist Cemetery under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes, West Monroe.  A visitation will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday until the time of service.

Melissa Anne Ashley Dulaney, 43, of West Monroe Louisiana, went to Heaven on April 18, 2025. She was born December 1, 1981, in Zwolle, Netherlands, to Allen and Julie Ashley of Sterlington, Louisiana.

“Missy” was greatly loved by her husband and children, as well as a large immediate and extended family. She showered her family with unconditional love, often making personal sacrifices to bring them together for gatherings with plenty of good food and laughter. Her whole family was blessed by the joy she shared. Missy loved and leaned on Jesus every day.

Missy was a talented landscape artist who used plants as a pallet to create beautiful venues for family and customers. As the oldest of ten children, she often shared her wisdom, love and guidance with her strong heart and work ethic. She loved Tinkerbell, flowers and the color blue. She also loved creating beautiful jewelry with tumbled river rocks and tiny beads.

Missy is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Dulaney; son, Patrick McHenry; daughter, Mikayla McHenry; stepson, Kaiden Dulaney; parents, Allen and Julie Ashley; sisters, Holly Grimes and husband Jeffery, Sandra Britt and  husband Michael, Sarah Ashley (Joshua Frierson) and Zelma Ashley (Ryan McCaffrey); brothers, Allen Ashley and wife Adaline, Thomas Ashley and wife Nikki, Jackie Leon Ashley, and Matthew Ashley and wife Shayla; grandmother, Elizabeth Sharplin; grandmother, Ruby Dulaney; aunt, Shannon Sharplin; uncles, Kenny Ashley, Larry Ashley and Jeff Sharplin; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.

Missy was loved by so many and will be greatly missed by everyone.
