Melba Johnson Jones Kilpatrick Funeral Home Ruston, LA Funeral services for Melba Jones, age 80, of Ruston, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 22, 2013 at Temple Baptist Church in Ruston, LA. Officiating the service will be Rev. David Abernathy. Interment will follow at Pines Memorial Cemetery in Ruston, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Melba was a career CPA and a member of Temple Baptist Church. Her hobbies included cooking and playing duplicate bridge where she achieved the level of Life Master of Bridge. She died as a result of an automobile accident in Ruston. Melba was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Jones. She is survived by sons: Michael Jones and wife Pam of Ruston, LA; Gregory Jones and wife Karin, of Vicksburg, MS; grandchildren: Patrick Jones of Denver, CO; Jonathan Jones of Oxford, MS; Caty Jones of Ruston, LA; Michelle Landry and husband Jacob of Baton Rouge, LA; and William Jones of Ruston, LA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be James Davison, Jim Davison, Steve Davison, J.V. Jones, Modell Robinson, and Reagan Sutton. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until service time at Temple Baptist Church in Ruston. Memorials may be sent to Temple Baptist Church or the charity of donors choice.
