Mary Ann Young Warner passed from this life into the arms of her savior on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, following a lengthy illness.  She was reunited with her parents and siblings who had gone before her.

Mary was born August 15, 1944, to Mary Helen Powell Young and the Rev. John Jackson Young.  Mary was the 7^th of nine children born to this union.  She is preceded in death by her parents, along with siblings, Jessie Young, John J. “Jack” Young, Jr., LaVerne Roberson and Vivian Townley.

Mary is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 58 years, Lunsford Warner of Tupelo, MS; daughter, Cindy Warner Thompson and husband Matt of Brentwood, TN;  daughter Sonya Warner Hawkins and husband Curtis of Ruston, LA.;  Sisters, Sharon Mitchell (Ronnie) of Ringold, GA;  Jonnie Boutwell (Gary) of Hammond, LA.;  Lori McAdams, Liberty, MS;  and Helen Jackson (Dennis) of Hope Mills, NC.;  as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Grandchildren:  Natalie Thompson Maser and husband Adam of Denver, CO; Morgan Thompson of Montgomery, AL; Ann-Marie Thompson Ochsner and husband Marc of Brentwood, TN;  Taylor Evans Chennault and husband, William of Ruston, LA;  Jake Hawkins,  Mary Grace Hawkins, of Ruston, LA.

Great-Grandchildren:  Alec Nash Maser, Adora Lillian Ochsner, Claire Leigh Chennault.

Mary was a devoted wife to her husband, Lunsford.  They began dating at an early age and quickly fell in love.  They were married in October of 1962.  Lunsford began serving his country in the United States Air Force and over the years his orders took them to:  Columbus Air Force Base, MS; England Air Force Base, Alexandria, LA; Aviano Air Base, in Aviano, Italy; Barksdale Air Force Base, Bossier City, LA;

Mary enjoyed traveling, reading, and antiquing.  Spending time with her grandchildren was one of her greatest joys.  She was in attendance for every event possible, cheering them on, going on trips, and sharing cherished holidays together.  Her favorite holiday was Christmas, where she and her family shared in celebrating the birth of their savior.

Visitation for Mary Warner will be held Friday December 17, 2021, from 1:00-2:00pm in the Chapel of Temple Baptist Church in Ruston, LA with a private graveside service to follow at Kilpatrick’s Memorial Gardens officiated by Dr. Reggie Bridges.
